‘Alien: Covenant’ director’s first feature is on the way to the cinema
Alien: Covenant director Ridley Scott has been given the green light to begin development of his first feature film.
Scott has been working on a script which was due to be published this week, but a new deal between the director and Warner Bros. Pictures has meant that a new script is now in the works.
In a statement, Scott said that the new film would be a “new exploration of a mysterious planet”.
“I want to thank the people at Warner Bros for their incredible support, and I hope everyone is able to enjoy the film as much as I did,” he said.
The new film will be written and directed by Scott and is being written by David Fincher and David Slade.
It will be produced by Scott’s Blumhouse Films, with David Slades as producer and Joss Whedon, Mark Wahlberg, and Amy Pascal producing.
The film will feature a screenplay by Scott, with Ridley Scott directing.
It is being produced by Warner Bros., with Adam Sandler producing.
It is being released on October 3.
