How to Make a Marvel Comics Movie Without Going to the Movies
The Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy will get their own films this summer, but the Marvel Cinematic Universe is not ready to stop there.
“It’s just like ‘Star Wars,'” the director of a new film about a futuristic space opera told POLITICO in an exclusive interview.
“I would love to go back to ‘Star Trek,’ ‘Spaceballs’ and ‘Blade Runner’ and do another one.
It would be an awesome idea, but right now, I’m just focused on the next big thing.”
The filmmaker, who goes by the pseudonym Dan, is working on a new Marvel movie that he hopes will be “unbreakable.”
The idea is to bring the movies back to their original universe with the new version being “a more modern take on the ‘Star War’ universe,” the filmmaker said.
He said he is excited to be a part of the new Marvel Cinemasy, which has a budget of $100 million.
“When I first heard they were working on an MCU movie, I was like, ‘Wow!
What if this was the first Marvel movie I ever heard about?'”
The director said he’s been working on the film since March of this year, and the film will take place in 2034, when the “first Captain America movie” was released.
In that movie, Tony Stark was working as an assassin for Stark Industries, and he was brought to the attention of the mysterious organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. He was a pawn in a global conspiracy that had to be stopped.
In this Marvel Cinematics movie, “I’ll be the hero, because the story’s about me,” he said.
“This is my story.
This is who I am.”
Dan’s first film, “Iron Man,” was released in 2009 and earned $9.9 million at the box office.
“Iron Patriot” was directed by David Fincher, a filmmaker who made the hit movie “A Quiet Place.”
The movie received mixed reviews, with many critics praising its action sequences and the fact that the film is set in a fictional world, but many of those reviews have since been removed.
Dan said he hopes to be part of a sequel to “Ironman,” but he has yet to find out if he’ll be a producer.
“In all likelihood, I will not be involved in that film,” he told POLITICO.
“If I do, it will be a different project entirely.
I would like to do another Marvel movie.”
The director added that he is currently working on another film that he feels will be better suited for the Marvel Universe, but he said he will have to wait until the film hits theaters before he can share more about it.
“That film is going to be more grounded in the world of the MCU and have a lot more of the characters in it,” he continued.
“The world is so much bigger now and it’s more important than ever for a studio to have a story that’s true to the Marvel universe.”
The actor and director said that he has a number of ideas for future films that he would like Marvel to make.
“A lot of them are so good and are so different from ‘Iron Man,'” he said, adding that he’s not ruling anything out.
“Maybe I’ll do a sequel that’s a little different from what they did.
Maybe I’ll go back and do a third Iron Man movie.
And so on and so forth.”
He said that, for now, he’s focused on his next project, “The Jungle Book.”
The new film will star a new voice cast, and Dan hopes to work with a different director for the film.
“We’re trying to make it feel like an older version of the first one,” he joked.
“So it will feel more like an old ‘Ironman’ movie.”
He added that it will also be a more modern film, with a new costume and a new theme song.
“What I really want to do is do a really good take on ‘The Jungle,'” he added.
“And I think it’s a good idea.”
